This Guy Photographs Dogs As If They Were Human

London street photographer Alan Schaller looks at dogs much the way people look at other humans.

Schaller is inspired to photography pups that strike him as "cheeky", "lonely", "shy". Sounds like he's describing humans, right? There's a lot of similarities, except Schaller finds dogs to be a whole lot more friendly when it comes to taking their photos.

“I find dogs are in general more consistently friendly, unpredictable, and amusing than humans,” he says.

Due to our unique close bond with them, they can say a lot about the owner and even society in general.

And just because he's shooting dogs doesn't mean the photos are emotionally shallow. A picture of a dog can speak volumes!

“Photographs of dogs can have a deeper meaning than just being a picture of an animal,” Schaller says. “Due to our unique close bond with them, they can say a lot about the owner and even society in general.”

Plus, photographing pups makes Schaller happy and that's a great reason to do something.

“Almost every dog I have photographed, unless the scenario has been tragic, has made me laugh at some point when meeting it,” he says.
